Kaushal Institutes is LHWRF's (Lupin Human Welfare & Research Foundation’s) initiative under the Swarnjayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY) for social and financial welfare of poor people residing in rural India. This is achieved by providing vocational training and guaranteed employment / self-employment opportunities to unemployed youth from the Below Poverty Line (BPL) segment of the society. Kaushal institutes are currently operational in six districts of the State of Rajasthan, India namely Bharatpur , Dausa , Karauli , Sawai Madhopur , Alwar and Dholpur.
More than 12,000 youngsters in the above mentioned districts will obtain training and employment opportunities within the next two years. This process would ultimately lead to the strengthening and socio-economic empowerment of the rural poor as well as improve their collective bargaining power, which is the ultimate aim of the Government of India’s SGSY scheme
